Attempts
The first picture is a very feeble attempt at shading. The entire drawing as a whole was a shading exercise. As you can see, I failed on it, but, “There are no secrets to success. It is the result of preparation, hard work, and learning from failure.” - Colin Powell. And if you'll notice, my family got front row seats to the fantastic "Lameini". It goes (left to right) me, dad, mom, Carson, then Chase.

New Stuff
So I heard recently that, in order to accomplish greatness in art, you need to know the human body. So here is my skull, hand, and guy doing a dramatic pose. Obviously there's no way I could have done this freehand yet, so it is apparent that I need to do a mini-bibliography. I copied these drawings out of a book called, "Anatomy for the Artist: The Dynamics of the Human Form" by Tom Flint and Peter Stanyer.
I will continue doing things out of this book in the future, and, when I'm ready, try to do an original.
