I'm Colonel Rhinoceros Hypothesis

My 6th concentration. I really need to crank these out by the end of this week, hence the sad excuse you see before you.

Anudder Concentration

I'm also using this piece in my "Breadth" section because of the varying media use: watercolor, ink pen, prismacolor, and chalk pastel.

Figure Drawing

These are a few figure studies that I've come up with in the last two weeks. Two came from my new figure drawing book "The Figure" by Walt Reed. I hear through the grapevine its a pretty well-known book. Two others are freehanded studies of proportion and the muscles and the last is my buddy Tyler rappelling last year.
Also, on an unrelated note: I am not a fan of the new Blogger. It's throwing me off big time.

Concentrating...

Here are more concentrations (pieces of the same series) for the AP board that I did in class.

Basically the series theme is "Steampunk-Style Animals" which I thought would be cool at the beginning of the year but now, if it weren't too late in the game, I would change it. I still have a lot of fun doing it, I've just come up with better (and less weird) ideas.

Sketchy II

Today I discovered the weakness of the Canon T3i. Taking pictures of my sketchbook.
But its nice to finally see some color on this blog, dang it.

Sketchy

Here's some more stuff from the good 'ole book.

(Thanks Jesse Larsen for unknowingly letting me study your DC Comics muscle design)

Concentration Mocks

For my AP Studio Art class, we're required to submit a portfolio that contains three categories of work: 1) Breadth 2) Concentration and 3) Quality. These sketches from my book are mock-ups of concentration ideas that I may use. If I capitalize on these ideas, I'll post them as soon as I'm done.
